Inter Miami CF star Lionel Messi has broken the history box by becoming the first  leading scorer in World Cup history when he netted two more goals against Austria on Monday taking  his total to 17 goals.

The historic goals established a new World Cup scoring record and further strengthened Messi's legacy as one of the greatest footballers of all time. .

The 38-year-old had missed a penalty earlier in the game but corrected the miss with two more goals
