The world cup is getting hotter as France captain Kylian Mbappe just surpassed Miroslav Klose’s World Cup goalscoring record.
Mbappe scored twice as they thrashed Sweden 3-0 to qualify for the Round of 16.
The 27–year-old’s brace means he now has six goals and two assists at the tournament so far.
That alone puts him ahead of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who has six goals and no assists.
However, Mbappe and Messi have both broken Klose’s all-time record this World Cup.
